All Events Catered

 Because it is such a versatile space, the function room has been and can be used for a variety of different events such as club or society meetings/nights whether they are regular, periodic or occasional. Other common uses have been the hosting of charity events such as quiz nights (for which the p/a system has come in handy) and with all the furniture stacked and moved aside yoga and pilates instruction sessions and even ante-natal classes have been held here.

As the room is equipped with a large flat-screen television and a sound system that can be linked in with it, the room has been used to host key televised sports events such as football and rugby world cups, important cricketing occasions and, of course with its’ close proximity, the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championship for which the room is perfect as a before or after party venue.

NB

Unlike with business/corporate events where the bill is almost invariably paid for by the hosting company, it is more common with the preceding family and general events that that the host is unable to pay for everything. The most common requirement for these events is a cash bar which we can easily organise and accommodate, whether it’s a full cash bar  for everything consumed or a partial cash bar where the host provides certain drinks (usually wine and/or beer) and other items have to be paid for. And whilst we fully reserve the right to charge corkage, it is possible to supply your own wine too.
